Dual MBA/Master of Public Health

The online dual MBA program offered at Benedictine University is designed for those who desire an advanced degree but need flexibility and convenience.  In order to be accepted into the program, you must have an undergraduate degree with a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.  Classes are 100% online, and tuition starts at $490 per credit hour.  Numerous federal financial aid and scholarships are available.

The online dual MBA/MPH program consists of 96 credit hours, with the ability to transfer up to 32 credit hours.  Students generally take one course per session, with six sessions available each academic year.  There are numerous specializations, such as Administration of Health Care Institutions, Disaster Management, Entrepreneurship or International Business.  While the program does not have a residency or thesis requirement, students are required to complete a 180-hour internship.

The intense program consists of seven MBA courses and seven MPH courses.  The MBA courses include accounting, economics, and financial management, and the MPH courses include health behavior, ethics, and community health analysis.  There are also 10 credit hours of electives required.  Students can choose from subjects such as marketing of health care systems, multicultural management, and legal aspects in healthcare administration.
