By this time, you’ve read through tons of promotional literature and marketing materials that all claim their MBA program makes them the best online MBA school for you.  It all starts to sound the same after a while, doesn’t it?

You don’t have to rely just on the schools’ websites for the information you need to make your decision, though.  After all, you know that everyone will say their program is best.  How can you decide for yourself?

  The internet is full of other resources–and there are any number of websites which compare and contrast different programs, or assign them rankings that might make it easier for you to decide on–or rule out–a particular school.
• Discussion Forums and Message Boards
  See what current and former students, and other applicants have to say about a particular online MBA school.  A program which doesn’t seem that flashy might have devoted, engaged students, while a more “popular” program might breed a lot more discontent.
• Research Alumni
  Who has graduated from the program?  Many schools will advertise influential graduates; this can be one of the best ways to decide on the best online MBA school.  And almost all programs have at least one or two graduates to be proud of… if they don’t there’s something wrong.
• Research the Faculty
  An excellent method you can use to determine the quality of the program is to check out the quality of the teaching staff.  Search for the names of the faculty in trade journals and other business publications.   Determining how active and up to date the faculty is may be the deciding factor in choosing your best online MBA school.
