What is an MBA?
An MBA is a Master’s of Business Administration. This means that it is directly related to a high ranking position within the business industry, and is meant to prepare the student by offering them the various cores they will need to pursue this degree. This can include sales, management, accounting, marketing, human resources, and anything that would be a largely corporate asset.
How is an Executive MBA Different From a Tradition MBA?
In many ways, the two degrees are very similar. The difference is that one is meant to start the course, the other is meant to finish it. Someone seeking an Executive MBA will have already made their way itno middle management, and will be hoping to move up to an executive position. An Executive MBA is meant to give them the tools, education, and credentials to do that, in order to take on a higher responsibility within a company. Often, businesses will wish to hire within in-house, and so will send their managers back to school to earn this degree.
How Much Can I Make With an Executive MBA?
This depends largely on the size of the company you end up becoming an executive for, but it isn’t unusual to see starting salaries as high as $140,000. Once a position has been established, this can go up to $700,000, and up further as time goes by. Many executives make annual salaries into the millions, which is especially true of those working for multi-billion dollar corporations.
While it isn’t guaranteed that you will become a millionaire with this degree, it is a way of moving up into the highest ranks of the corporate world. If you hope to one day be a CEO, or on the board of directors of a popular company, you will need to step things up a notch, and more out of middle management. Getting an Executive MBA is the perfect way to do that.
